The Hearst Foundations are national philanthropic resources for organizations and institutions working in the fields of Education, Health, Culture and Social Service. Our goal is to ensure that people of all backgrounds have the opportunity to build healthy, productive and inspiring lives.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.W. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable.
The U.S. Army Medical Research and Material grant funded the WWAMI Institute for Simulation in Healthcare (WISH), formerly known as the UW Institute for Simulation and Interprofessional Studies (ISIS), at the University of Washington to develop and validate the effectiveness of an innovative regional model of medical education interweaved with a unique distance healthcare delivery program utilizing a combination of simulation, computer based provider/patient interaction and web-based learning.
